Best Blank T-Shirts in 2026

The blank matters as much as the print. The same design feels totally different on a boxy heavyweight vs. a soft ringspun fashion fit. Here's how we pick, by what you're making.

The soft, retail-feel pick

Lightweight, ringspun, combed cotton — the "I'd actually wear this" tee. Drapes well, takes DTG beautifully, and is the right base for brand merch and anything sold at retail. The tradeoff is a slightly higher blank cost and a thinner fabric.

The reliable workhorse

A mid-weight 100% cotton classic is the safe default for events, teams, and giveaways: durable, widely sized, affordable, and it screen-prints cleanly. Not the softest, but nobody complains.

When to go heavyweight

Heavier 6+ oz cotton feels substantial and hides the garment underneath — good for boxy streetwear fits and prints you want to feel "thick." It costs more and runs warmer.

What we tend to avoid

  • Very cheap 50/50 or tri-blends when you need a crisp, opaque screen print — synthetics can dye-migrate and dull bright inks.
  • Ultra-thin "fast fashion" blanks that pill after a few washes.

Pick yours and preview it

You don't have to memorize SKUs. Open the designer, choose a garment and color, and see your art on the actual blank before you commit.
